NEW DELHI: The assembly polls held in five states shows the growth of a strong leader like Rahul Gandhi who is always referred as Pappu. The congress was able to make a strong comeback under the leadership of Rahul in three states ruled by the BJP after sabotaging exit poll results. The historic win comes at a time when Rahul Gandhi will be celebrating the first anniversary of his appointment as the Congress president. Meantime, political assessments are that the present poll results is a hint for the congress’ to return to power after their defeat in 2014. Observers evaluate that Rahul is now capable to compete with Narendra Modi. The results give them faith to face the Lok Sabha polls to be held next year. The result in Mizoram ruled by Congress is a blow to them.
