KANNUR: The court has remanded an accused and his aide for sexually abusing a tenth standard student whom they befriended in Instagram. The court remanded T V Anand aged 19 and his friend Arjun (21), natives of Azheekal. The victim’s parents came to know about the incident when she was lazy to go to school. Following that, they lodged a complaint at the women’s cell. Kannur DySP P P Sadanandan and his team took the accused Anand into custody on Tuesday night. The complaint says that he sexually abused her many times at the quarters in Valapattanam. A case has been registered under POSCO.
