SABARIMALA: The high court order on removing barricades at Sannidhanam was not implemented on Thursday. The decision on this will be taken after a new batch of police officers under IG Sreejith take over the charge of Sannidhanam.

Police had decided against removing barricades at Vavaru nada and Mahakanikka as protesters were there at Sannidhanam.

Meanwhile, taking into account the high court order, there are hints that barricades down at Thirumuttam will be removed.

Protestors perform namajapam every day night at lower side of Malikappuram. From there, one has an easy access to Vavaru nada and Mahakanikka.
Top police officers said that a security evaluation meeting will be held under Sreejith and a decision on reducing the strength of the police at Sannidhanam will be decided after that.

1,500 policemen are now at Sannidhanam. However, there is much relaxation in the security arrangement at Thirumuttam near Vavaru nada.
