THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: LDF convenor A Vijayaraghavan has said in the light of Lok Sabha election, the LDF will be expanded and talks on this account are going on.

He was speaking at a Meet the Press programme, organised by Thiruvananthapuram Press Club on Thursday. “Though recent Assembly election in five states were a major setback for extreme Hindu forces, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala and his team had taken to soft Hindutva stand,” he said.

He alleged that BJP and UDF were indulging in activities that would destroy the social fabric and law and law & order situation of the State. “The UDF is repeating the strikes started by the BJP. The UDF, which ought to have stood with state interests and against the Centre’s negligence, is becoming the tongue of the BJP.”

Vijayaraghavan added that Women’s wall is an important step in the history of women’s forward movement. The LDF will line up 30 lakh women.
