THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Four SFI activists, students of University College in the capital city, have been arrested for attacking traffic policemen on duty. The four who absconded soon after the incident was arrested by the cantonment police. Sreejith, Akhil, Hyder and Aaromal are the four arrested today. The traffic police were brutally beaten up for questioning after they violated traffic rules near the Martyrs Column in Palayam.

A youth got irked when traffic policeman Amal Krishna stopped his bike when he took a U Turn near the martyrs’ column. His argument with the cop led to an altercation and soon two other police officers intervened. The youth immediately called up his friends and they reached the spot and manhandled the officers.
