VITHURA: Malayali soldier who was about to go on a leave to see his new born baby died in a truck accident. S. Abhilash (31), son of K. Soman and S. Usha, died after the truck he traveled fell into a gorge. He was a driver at Chhattisgarh National Disaster Response Unit. He was about to return to Vithura on December 22.

Abhilash and a soldier from Bihar died at the spot. Another soldier is hospitalized with injuries and is in a critical stage. His body will reach Vithura today and will be cremated with all official honors.
