ALAPPUZHA: Minister G Sudhakaran lashed out at actress Manju Warrier for withdrawing from the women’s wall to be organised by the state government in the New Year. The minister asked the actress to change the mirror of social consciousness through which she saw the wall. She is respected as an actress. The wall has no politics and this is the fault of her mirror, he added. The movement founded by Mannath Padmanabhan who led social revolutions is now opposing renaissance activities, he said. The actress had earlier said that she was with the programme since gender equality is essential to safeguard renaissance values.

However, she later withdrew from it. In a Facebook post, she wrote that she was unaware of the political colour the programme has attained. The minister lashed out at her soon after this.
