THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Some organizations have been trying to sabotage KSRTC services on the backdrop of the termination of its M-Panel employees. Management had directed new employees to do additional work following the termination of temporary employees. The organizations have given instructions not to do any additional work in order to sabotage the services. The middle-level management also backs this decision and this has affected passengers. At present, higher management is unable to take a decision against this.
KSRTC had given a promise to give additional amount for new employees for doing additional work. Rs 480 was given to temporary employees for additional duty. At present, there are two conductors for each bus.
It has been reported that 5000 buses are conducting services on a daily basis. There are 4500 buses when we neglect small services. 11,442 permanent conductors are in service for these buses.
