THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In order to ensure continuity in KSRTC services, at least 1000 of 3861 dismissed M-panel employees might be taken back. This is in light of HC’s suggestion to re-employ M-panel conductors to overcome difficulties. HC have also advised to employ temporary staff through employment exchange. The government will check if this is legally possible.
Only 1472 out of 4051 recruits who received advice memo entered their jobs on Thursday. New recruits who received advice memo need only report within 45 days. Still, it’s calculated that only 2000 of them will enter job.
12 M-panel employees amongst newly appointed
Twelve M-panel employees are amongst the newly appointed. As there is no need of training, they entered their jobs on Thursday.
240 Duty
The recruits appointed through PSC need to complete at least 240 duty days in the probation period of one year. Else, probation will be further delayed. They are only eligible for casual leave. There will be restrictions on public holidays. These recruits have to work 26 days a month in order to receive full salary.
