THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the proposed Women’s Wall on New Year would not be conducted with the government fund. The 50 crore is set aside for the welfare activities of women. But the rumours that it would be spent for woman wall is not true. Not even a single rupee would be spend for the wall from the state fund, the Chief Minister said. He was talking after inaugurating a renaissance gathering organized by Secretariate Employees Association.

Women from all walks of life should participate in the meet, not only those who attended meetings of renaissance organizations. Don't try to discriminate in the name of caste.

Government is not trying to oblitertate traditions of any temple. But fundamental rights imparted by the constitution should be followed. There is no faith above the constitution.

The people who oppose renaissance are the ones who oppossed to give money and property to daughters and wives. They said that financial stability of a family will be destroyed if women members are given money. They also questioned the law when polygamy was abolished. Even Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Pattabi Sidharamayya oppossed equality of sexes. Ambedkar and Nehru faced criticism. Women back then was not willing to change. But later all those practices were abolished by law. Women organizations should come forward to make this women wall a success. It should be a fitting answer to all the critics.
