THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM have decided to include Muslim and Christian religious leaders in the Women Wall for renaissance on January 1. This decision was taken after CPM Secretariat meeting on Friday. The government and party will hold discussions for this.

Opposition party had rebuked that Women Wall is a communal wall with Hindu representation only. CPM’s new efforts are to counteract these criticisms and make the idea of renaissance wall welcome to people from all sections. On Friday, CM Pinarayi Vijayan in his speech at Secretariat employees’ conference said about the key role of Christian missionaries and Muslim leaders in renaissance history of Kerala. He called out their descendants to do the same and co-operate with the Women Wall.

The party plans to conduct campaign on a door to door basis. The idea is to make Women Wall a secular event that is not bound by political chains.
