THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: “Will return to Sabarimala and perform darshan. It won’t be like last time. There won’t be any loop holes”, said Trupti Desai to Keralakaumudi Flash.
Detailed interview:
Won’t reveal the date
“We will definitely return to Kerala and perform darshan at Sabarimala. But the date won’t be revealed. Last time we announced everything in advance and had to leave after being held at the airport due to protests. So, this time we won’t specify the date in advance”
Protests are expected
“Last time we couldn’t even exit the airport due to protests. I don’t think those were in the name of devotion. Such activities bring shame to a place that claims itself to be progressive. We expect protests next time also”
Won’t back off without achieving our aim
“Supreme Court have given their final verdict regarding women entry in Sabarimala on September 27. The verdict clearly allows everyone to enter the shrine as restricting women from entering is a case of discrimination.
There is no need to approach SC again on this matter. We will try again and again until our goal is achieved”
Talked with the police
“I’ve contacted Kerala Police a few days back. They have ensured protection. They have also asked not to make our arrival date public. I believe they can ensure our safety”
Won’t even give a hint
“We will be prepared this time in order to avoid mistakes. Troublemakers won’t even get a hint on when and where we will arrive. There won’t be any loopholes like last time”
Will only return after darshan
“In our next visit, we will visit Sabarimala shrine and perform darshan. The public would only come to know about our visit after we leave. We are getting prepared for that”
