KOTTAYAM: A bus conductor was nabbed for allegedly fondling a girl student inside a bus. Gandhi Nagar SI Anoop Jose arrested temporary conductor and Thellakam Podimattatthil Mathai George (21) for caressing the girl inside the bus. He is a conductor in the bus operating in Kottaym Ettumanoor route.

The accused was produced in the court later in the day.

According to the police, the conductor who approached the girl with the ticket rack had some friendly talk with the girl. When the bus reached Chavuttuveli, he started rubbing his body against her and fondling her.

Having lost all her patience, the girl asked whether she should take out her chappals (to beat him). But the conductor was not ready to step back and continued his sexual peccadilloes. After this, the girl moved towards the front part.

As soon as she got off at Ettumanoor bus stand, she straight away walked up to police station. CI A J Thomas handed over the complaint to Gandhi Nagar police. Later SI Anoop arrested the conductor from the bus itself.
