THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Even though the government has been reiterating that government fund will not be used for Women’s wall, the high court has now understood that government money will be utilised somehow for the purpose. The court came to this conclusion by drawing inferences from the social justice department’s affidavit that the government will spend money from the budget amount allotted for women and child welfare programmes.
The division bench of the chief justice in an interim order has instructed the government to submit an affidavit on the details of the money spent for women’s wall and its budget share.
The copy of the interim order came out on Saturday. In it, it is said that the high court’s understanding is that the government fund will be used for the Women’s wall.
