KOTTAYAM: Apart from the Manithi team, dalit activist Ammini too is trekking to Sabarimala. Their stand is that if the protestors tried to stop their visit, they will go on an indefinite strike. Ammini’s stand is that they had informed the government about their visit and so it is their duty to maintain peace.

The government should make necessary steps for us to trek to Sabarimala and return back safely. We hope the government will make necessary arrangements. Women from three states has to reach and after that we will trek to Sabarimala, said Ammini.

Meantime, a six-member women team from the women organisation Manithi has reached Pampa. They are stationed at Pampa due to heavy resistance from the protesters. However, they are stuck to their stand that they be permitted to undertake the pilgrimage.
