KOTTAYAM: The government has deserted the devaswom board after tension prevailed in Sabarimala again in connection with the entry of women. The monitoring panel entrusted by the Kerala High Court is in Sabarimala and they decide things now, said Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran. The panel consists of two judges and a senior IPS officer. The government is now moving forward on Sabarimala based on their decision. The panel will take decision after examining it and things will happen accordingly, he said.
A manithi team functioning in Tamil Nadu has arrived in Sabarimala. They are stationed at Pampa due to heavy resistance from the protesters. They are firm in their stand of visiting Sabarimala. Though the police approached them for a conciliation, the team are firm in the decision.
