monitoring-panel

SANNIDHANAM: The Sabarimala monitoring panel has rejected the government in connection with the entry of women. The three-member panel has informed the government that they will not interfere in it and it is the responsibility of the police to maintain peace there. We are engaged only in monitoring it. DGP A Hemchandran, one among the panel, has informed the government that if the high court asks about the situation, it will be clarified then.

It is the duty of the police to maintain peace in Sabarimala. The panel said the devaswom board has to take a decision on whether women should enter Sabarimala or not. The high court has entrusted Justice S Sirijagan, P R Raman and DGP A Hemachandran to monitor things in Sabarimala.

Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran has earlier stated that government has no responsibility on the issue. The panel entrusted by the high court is in Sabarimala and things are evaluated by them now.
