THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Several controversies have popped up surrounding the proposed Women Wall by the state government. However these controversies have only increased the relevance of Women Wall, says CPM Kerala Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.
“Slogans like ‘Don’t make Kerala a mental asylum’, ‘Protect renaissance values’ and ‘Women security’ will be raised in the movement. National leaders like Brinda Karat and Subhashini Ali will take part in the wall in different parts of Kerala. Steps will be taken to tackle traffic blocks”, Kodiyeri said.
“Thirty lakh women associated with CPM will take part in the meet. This will create a new record in Guinness Book. The wall be from Kasargod taluk to Vellayambalam in Thiruvananthapuram. Government funds won’t be utilized for the wall. Online donations can be made to party fund. Men will line up opposite to Women Wall. Central government is trying to block income sources of the state”, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said.
