KOLLAM: The court has remanded Bihar natives who had robbed Rs. 3.1 lakh after cheating Ramaprasad, a fisherman and a native of Kollam. Santhosh Sahani, Naresh Kumar Sahani, Sanjay Sahani, Rohith Kumar, Sonu Kumar and Kunthal Kumar, natives of east Champaran in Bihar were arrested by Kollam west crime SI P Pradeep.
Ramaprasad had complained to the police on October 20th. The gang had approached Ramaprasad to help him to deposit money to the ATM.
They noted his ATM PIN number and gave him a fake card. Later they used Ramaprasad's card to shop for Rs 50,000 and transferred Rs 2.60 lakh to Santhosh Sahani's account. Ramaprasad reached bank after one month when he failed to use his ATM card. Bank officials identified that the card was not Ramaprasad's card and a complaint was lodged to the police.
The migrant labourers had fled within one month and they were later arrested by the police after intense probe.
