THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Even as the merchants, hotel owners, bus operators and cine exhibitors among others have decided to say no-to-hartals, a state-wide awareness-cum-declaration campaign is being organised by the Cochin-based Middle Path Organisation, on December 24 to highlight the need to "say no to hartal" and "overcome hartal fear".
Being propagated through the social media, the campaign is designed in a noval fashion by appealing to the people, who hate the hartals, to put on the head lights of their vehicles on Monday next as a mark of their solidarity for the cause.According to the chief organiser, Mr Raju P Nair, General Secretary, Middle Path Organisation, there has been enthusiastic support from people and hope that the campaign would enlighten the political leadership on the people's hate against hartals.The organisation has been in.the forefront in helping people by facilitating conveyance on hartal days, since 2011. This is the first time that the organisation is launching a state-wide campaign with hashtag 'say-no-to-hartal'.
