THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Palakkad co-operative joint registrar will investigate the incident where money was collected from social welfare pensioners for women’s wall, to be organized by the state government on the day of New Year. Kadakampally Surendran, minister of co-operation has informed that the matter will be investigated in detail and proper action will be taken immediately. Rs 100 was collected from the welfare pensioners for women’s wall which has resulted in a lot of backlash. Meantime, organizers have clarified that no money was collected in the name of women’s wall. They also clarified that no coupons were printed or distributed in the name of ‘renaissance protection committee’. Congress has given a complaint to the Palakkad district police chief. Hoiwever, they have not taken a case in the matter.
