THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BDJS leaders stayed away from the 'Ayyappa Jyoti' programme organzied by Sabarimala Karma Samithi. BDJS president Thushar Vellappally informed that information regarding Ayyappa Jyothi was informed to them only on Wednesday afternoon and he did not participate in the event as he had another scheduled programme. Meantime, SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan clarified that he has instructed all members of SNDP to participate in the women's wall, set to be organized by the government on January 1st.
He also said that no action will be taken against members who has not participated in the Ayyappa Jyothi.
"I have instructed every women members of SNDP to participate in the women's wall. We do not have to prove our strength to anyone, 111 unions and 7000 branches of Yogam will co-operate with the women's wall. About 1 lakh people will participate in the event. This will be a huge event. Women's wall is being organized to uphold the renaissance values of Sree Narayana Guru and other renaissance leaders", said Vellappally.
