KOCHI: The Ernakulam Central Police has registered a case against C S Libi, a journalist and a native of Cherthala and Renjith Sinik Sivan, an online media reporter for allegedly attempting to hurt religious sentiments through social media posts.
The Ernakulam central police had not registered a case against the two on the complaint of C S Sumesh, working president of Peoples Legal Welfare Forum. He later lodged a complaint at the CJM court in Ernakulam. The court handed over the complaint to the police to take further steps.
Libi is one among the women of menstruating age reaching Sabarimala following Supreme Court verdict. The complaint says that the two in Facebook posts have stained Hinduism and insulted Ayyappa devotees.
