THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former DGP T P Senkumar has said he had no connection with phone tapping incidents and it all started when Kodiyeri Balakrishnan was the minister. He was speaking at a function organised by BJP in Priyadarshini hall on Friday.

“It is said that phone tapping happened in 2010. I was in KSRTC then and I reached Intelligence in 2012. The phone conservation was tapping by installing an instrument in a house at Peroorkkada. Jacon Punnose was the DGP then. This happens in in all countries and it is very rare in India,” he said.

Senkumar said that even after the court clarified that the cases filed against me were all fake, no probe was conducted against those who framed him. “The email also began to be tapped by the person who was before me in my post. I once caught red-handed a policeman for this...Today’s practice is to brand people who tell the truth as Sanghis.”

“I’m not a member of any party. The only membership I have is in PTP Nagar Residential Association and in SNDP yogam Vattiyoorkavu branch. I am a hardcore believer of Sanadhana Dharma. I would like to stand by those who protect it. Relationship with any political party will place some restrictions on us and hence I stand apart from political parties,” he added
