THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is no division within the party regarding Women Wall, says BDJS State President Thushar Vellappally. Rumours were doing rounds that there is a difference in opinion between BDJS and NDA regarding Women Wall. However Thushar Vellappally has made it clear that BDJS will support BJP led NDA in the upcoming Loksabha elections.

“BDJS have always stood with believers in Sabarimala issue and it’ll continue that way. Women Wall organized by the government is not against Sabarimala. I don’t share the opinion that it is a communal wall. It’s good if the government plans to give a message to the public. Party activists are not directed to participate in the Women Wall. However, if anyone wants to take part, they can. As I’m not a woman, I cannot be a part of Women Wall”, Thushar said.

“I only came to know about ‘Ayyappa Jyothi’ by noon that day. According to party tradition, before participating in non NDA programs, the matter should be discussed. We didn’t have enough time to discuss on this. However, around 70 percent leaders from BDJS were part of the event. There is nothing wrong if party activists want to participate in the Women Wall”, he said.
