THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has been trying to put an end to Kerala Renaissance and turn Kerala into a mental asylum.

Alleging that Women’s wall was communal wall, Chennithala made the state-level inauguration of ‘Secular Women’s congregation’ in front of the Secretariat on Saturday.

“CPM and Pinarayi have been leading Kerala to black ages. As part of this, they are organising Women’s wall with the cooperation of Hindu organisations. Pinarayi Vijayan should explain whether communalism has ceased to exist by taking back INL into LDF fold after 20 years of ban. CPM should not think that they will be able get Lok Sabha seat by coming to terms with communalism. Hindutva should not be dealt with soft Hindutva,” he said.

KPCC president Mullapally Ramachandran said that organising Women’s wall expending government money opens door for corruption. The attempt has been to force government employees to shell out money for Women’s wall.

Shashi Tharoor MP, MLAs V S Sivakumar, M Vincent, K S Sabarinathan, among others took part in the function.
