NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court declined early hearing of contempt of court filed against Sabarimala tantri for performing purification rites closing the sanctum sanctorum after two women of menstruating age entered Sabarimala yesterday. The court rejected the demand to settle the pleas at the earliest filed in connection with the entry of two women in Sabarimala yesterday. The Constitutional Bench cannot be organised and dismissed regularly. All pleas in connection with it can be considered only on January 22, the court said.
