NEW DELHI: Reports say that UPA chief Sonia Gandhi stopped the attempt of MPs from Kerala to protest in the Parliament wearing black badges against women entry in Sabarimala. As the strike on women entry would be against gender equality, she directed to stage their protests in Kerala. The Congress MPs plan was to protest wearing black badges when the Parliament sessions begins this morning. However, when it came to her notice, she stopped their move.

Meantime, the congress leaders of the state have decided to intensify the protest against women entry. Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said the state is watching on what will happen to Kerala if a foolish chief minister is in power. The chief minister is solely responsible for all the violence witnessed in the state yesterday. An intelligent ruler should think that when doing something whether it will ruin the state. The chief minister and his police had hatched a conspiracy to facilitate women entry. The chief minister who was hell bent on defying the rituals and beliefs of Sabarimala has hurt the sentiment of millions of devotees. It happened the very day of the Women Wall event.

They chose women activists to climb the shrine. One of the ladies was an office bearer of CITU union of the civil supplies corporation. The other has links with CPI (ML). It had hurt the minds of the devotees and it will not heal very soon, he said.
