sri-lankan-woman

SANNIDHANAM: Some dramatic scenes were witnessed in Sabarimala last night after a 47-year-old Sri Lankan woman tried to enter the holy shrine. Police argument is that Sasikala was sent back from Marakootam following protests. However she told reporters that there were no protests from devotees but the police forcefully sent her back. She informed that she came after observing the vritham like ordinary devotees.

She said, “I am an Ayyappa devotee. I observed all the vritham and my uterus was removed via surgery. I just came for Ayyappa darshan and I couldn’t complete it. There were no protests. Still, the police asked me to go back. My husband and son completed the darshan. Ayyappa will decide about my darshan. I informed everything at the Pampa Station. I climbed the steps after the police asked me to.” Sasikala had to return back from Marakoottam following protests of devotees. There was a speculation that more women will enter Sabarimala soon after two women identified as Bindu and Kanakadurga entered the temple.
