THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Apart form a few sporadic incidents of violence, the situation was normal on Friday in Kerala, which had witnessed wide-spread violence and attacks the previous day following the entry of two young women in Sabarimala.

In Kannur, a mob hurled petrol bomb at the BJP office at Puthiyatheruvu. In the attack that happened on Friday morning a persons sustained burns.
In Kasargod Mannjeshwaram, nine BJP workers got hacked during the Popular Front-BJP clashes.

In Pathanamthitta Adoor, houses of six CPM leaders and eight houses of BJP leaders were attacked on Thursday night. A shop owner and six others sustained injuries when explosives were hurled at his mobile shop.

In Thiruvananthapuram, attacks happened in Neyyattinkara and Nedumangadu. Five houses including the house of Nedumangadu Corporation Standing Committee Chairman Harikeshan Nair were damaged.

Early morning petrol bomb was hurled at Neyyattinkara CPM Area Committee office. Three bombs were recovered from a private school near Malayinkeezhu BSNL office. This was defused later by the police.

Meanwhile, the front part of Secretariat that saw virtual political battle on Thursday appeared peaceful on Friday. Though SDPI and FSETO took out procession, the police managed to divert the march away from the vicinity of BJP strike pandal.
