THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have made 1718 arrests in 1108 cases for attacks related to entry of women in Sabarimala. 1009 people are kept in precautionary custody. Arrests and raids are made under ‘Operation broken Window’.

In attacks, 135 police officers, 129 civilians and 10 media person were injured.

Police have taken every possible steps to suppress riots, says DGP Loknath Behera. ‘Operation Broken Window’ will go on until all attackers are caught. A list containing the names of attackers will be created by the special branches, which will be later handed over to district police chiefs. Phones of suspicious people will be frisked by police officials. Raids will be conducted at the houses of aggressors to find weapons. A database with name of culprits will be created and the offenders will be subjected to strict observation. A digital team will be formed by district police chiefs in order to create a photo album of violators. Officers will make use of this album for any possible arrests.
