THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Kadakampally Surendran has come forward responding to the statement of NSS that the government is responsible for the recent violence witnessed in the state.

The NSS is not ready to examine the facts on the problems in connection with women entry in Sabarimala. The stand taken by the NSS is like supporting the rebels. The NSS should not take a stand supporting the RSS, Kadakampally told reporters in the capital city.

Kadakampally said the remarks of the NSS is surprising. Their criticism is that the government is implementing party policy in connection with Sabarimala. However the affidavit filed in 2007 clarifies the policy of the Left Front. The remark of the NSS that the government is trying to propagate fake secularism to promote atheism in the name of renaissance is wrong.

The government has the liability to protect faith. If the government fails to implement it, there is nothing wrong on people unleashing violence. The government is implementing party policy with the power given by the people. The problems to be solved peacefully are being complicated, the NSS had mentioned in a release. Imposing prohibitory orders unnecessarily, trapping innocents in cases and creating anarchy are not suitable for a democratic government, the release said.
