ALAPPUZHA: One person was killed when a car collided with a lorry in Haripad. A lorry laden with furniture collided with the car early Monday morning near government hospital in Haripad. The dead has been identified as Varaprasad (25) of Karakulam in the capital city. He was on the driver’s seat and his friend a native of Haryana sustained injuries. Varaprasad was taken out from the car with the help of the fire force and rushed to Vandanam Medical College, but he died on the way.
