NEW DELHI: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey sought presidential rule in Kerala following the clashes on the hartal day. He also demanded that a judicial commission should be appointed to investigate the attacks made by CPM on the BJP-RSS workers. CPI-CPM MPs staged a protest following the allegations made by Dubey. BJP MPs had staged a protest in the Parliament complex on Monday against incidents of violence targeting their leaders in Kerala, including a crude bomb thrown at the residence of Rajya Sabha MP V Muraleedharan which they blamed on the state's CPI-M led government.
BJP MPs, including Bhupender Yadav and Shobha Karandjale, were seen holding placards near the Gandhi statue in Parliament to condemn the alleged violence against their leaders in the state.
The BJP has launched an extensive campaign to highlight the alleged targeting of its workers in the southern state after it joined the Sabarimala protest.
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has suspended members of AIADMK and Telugu Desam Party for disrupting House proceedings. Three AIADMK MPs P Venugopal, KN Ramchandran, K Gopal and TDP MP N Shivaprasad were suspended for two days under Rule 374A.
