THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The construction works of four roads initiated by KSTP four years ago has finally got completed. These roads in Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Kasargode districts costed about Rs 825 crore and the they have a length of 169 km. The cost was handled by World Bank and state government together.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate 47km long Chengannur-Ettumar reach which costed around Rs 293.58 crore and 45 km long Ettumanoor-Moovattupuzha reach which costed around Rs 171.49 crore. PWD minister G Sudhakaran will inaugurate the 27 km long Kasargod-Kanjangad road costing around Rs 133.05 crore and 50 km long Ponkunnam-Thodupuzha costing around Rs 227.13 crore.
G Sudhakaran had already inaugurated the Pilathara-Pappinissery road in December. The road has a length of 28 cm and the cost was around Rs 118.9 crore.
The construction work of Thiruvalla bypass is also almost completed. It is scheduled to be completed in 9 months. The contract is given to GHV.
