Despite the court ruling and government’s Ordinance to bring an end to destruction of public and private properties during hartals and strikes, a bunch of hooligans under the cover of the nation-wide strike attacked the SBI treasury branch near Secretariat at around 10:30 am on Wednesday.

Though the office functioned yesterday (Tuesday), today the attackers barged into the office and asked the officials to strike work. This was followed by scuffle between the officers and strike properties.

Later the mob of attackers barged into the cabin of manager and damaged computers, phones and office tables. The manager has lodged a complaint with Cantonment police station. He told media that the bank would not be able function for the day for fear of further attacks.
