NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have darshan of Thiruvananthapuram Padmanabha Swami temple deity on January 15. This was informed by Union Minister of State Alphons Kannanthanam. “Modi will also inaugurate the project completed under Union Tourism Ministry’s Swadeshi Darshan,” he said.
The prime minister will visit the temple between 7 pm and 9 pm.
In the inaugural function of tourism projects, Governor P Sathasivam, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan , Alphons Kanananthanam, Union Tourism Secretary Yogendra Thripadi, State Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran, Shashi Tharoor MP, V S Sivakumar MLA and Mayor V K Prashanth will be the participants.
Heritage walk way outside Padmanabha Swamy temple and renovation of Padmatheertham pond were done under Rs 75-88 project funded by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
