THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kovalam Satheesh Kumar, Chief Reporter of Keralakaumudi Thiruvananthapuram unit will be the recipient of Vayalar Navathi award organized by Vayalar Ramavarma Samskarika Vedhi for his performance in journalism. The award is organized as part of Vayalar’s 90th birth anniversary year.

The award consists of a certificate and prize money of Rs 15,000. This will be awarded on 16th of this month by Minister Kadakampalli Surendran in an event at Vyloppilli Samskruthi Bhavan.

Satheesh Kumar is the son of M. Krishna Panikker and Radha of Thuruvankonath House in Kovalam.

Satheesh Kumar was honoured several times before. He was the recipient of 2018 K. Sukumaran award, Gandhi Bhavan award, Thampo Kakkanadan award, award for the best reporter at 2016 State School Kalotsavam and Special Jury award for best report at 2015 IFFK.
