SANNIDHANAM: Singer P Susheela reached on Monday (Day of Makaravilakku) at Sannidhanam after being honoured with Harivarasanam award.

“I’m delighted to have been chosen for Harivarasanam award. This award was gifted to me by Lord Ayyappa. It was an opportunity given to me by the Lord to come here and have darshan,” she said.

To a question by a media person, Suseela said she was visiting Sabarimala for the first time and she was happy about it.

The Harivarasanam award was instituted in 2012. K J Yesudas, Jaya Vijaya, P Jayachandran, S P Balasubramanyam, M G Sreekumar, Gangai Amaran and K S Chithra receieved this award in former years.

The award jury comprised Sabarimala high power committee chairman Justice Sirijagan, Devaswom Commissioner N Vasu and Devaswom Pricipal Secretary K R Jyothilal.
