KOTTAYAM: Former State Police Chief T P Senkumar has come down heavily on State government over Sabarimala Women’s entry. “If the government had minimum decency, it would have been ready to continue the earlier state of affairs in Sabarimala till January 22,” he opined while speaking at a prayer meeting held under the aegis of retired police officers in Pandalam on Monday.

“A chief minister or prime minister may have different interests and they will speak out that also but police should only function as per the law. There should be clarification on whether there was any order behind taking women including Rahna Fathima to Sanndidhanam under police protection,” he said.

The prayer meeting was held at Pandalam Valiya Koikkal palace. The function was held as an atonement for police actions in Sabarimala.
