THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran has criticised Narendra Modi for the remarks he made during his Tuesday’s speech at a BJP meeting.
“It is Narendra Modi who is trying to destroy the tradition of India,” he told media person on Wednesday when asked about his reaction on the failed attempt of two women to enter Sabarimala earlier in the day.
“I’m not a person to answer Modi. Everyone knows his intention behind visiting Kerala yesterday. He used the inaugural venue just for his political campaign. It is Modi who is trying to wipe out the tradition of India,” Kadakampally said.
Yesterday after inaugurating the Kollam bypass, Modi had spoken at a BJP meeting organised at Kollam Peeranki maidan. He then made a scathing attack on the LDF government led by Pinarayi Vijayan. He said that the government’s stand in Sabarimala issue is the most shameful one. The Left is not at all a party that respects India’s culture, tradition and spirituality.
