THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The premier trailer of Mahaguru, the serial on Sree Narayana Guru, produced by Kaumudy channel, will be screened on Monday (Jan 21) at 9 am at Kairali theatre in Thiruvananthapuram.
Chief Minister Pinaryi Vijayan will be chief guest at the inaugural function.
The road show will also be held across the state for the promotion of the serial and the chief minister will flag off the show. The 30-minute long trailer of the serial will also be screened after that. Personalities from various fields and Kerala Kaumudi Chief Editor Deepu Ravi will attend the function.
The road show starting from Parassala will pass through Aruvippuram, Chempazhanthi Gurukulam, Sivagiri and Aluva Advaitha will end at Kasargod. The trailer will be shown at all important centres.
Kerala Kaumudi joint managing director Darshan Ravi is the producer of the serial. Mahaguru, the big-budget mega serial, will portray the events and decisive moments in the life of Sree Naryana Guru, the spiritual sun in the horizon of Kerala renaissance, will be telecast on Kaumudy TV Channel very soon.
The serial will comprise hundred episodes that will cover the life of Guru from birth to Samadhi. Mahaguru will be an authentic life story of Gurudeva, based on the credible books written about him.
Aruvippuram installation, Meditation at Maruthwamala, Temple installations, formation of SNDP Yogam will find place in the episode. Moreover, the serial will also feature characters such as Swami Vivekanandan, Chattambi Swami, Thycaud Ayyaguru, Mahatma Ayyankali, Mahatma Gandhi, Dr Palpu, Raveendranath Tagore, Mahakavi Kumaranashan, T K Madhavan, Sahodharan Ayyappan, V C Kunjuraman, Velutheri Kesavan Vaidhyan, Perunnalli Krishna Vaidhyan, Mooloor S Padmanabha Panicker and Kummamballi Ramapilla Ashan.
The shoot is progressing in and out of Kerala.
The script is written by poet and Kerala Kaumudi Special Project Editor Manju Vellayani. The director of the serial is Kaumudy TV Programmes Chief Dr Mahesh Kidangil.
