THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kollam MP N K Premachandran said that CPM is resisting people by stamping everyone who oppose them as ‘sanghis’. He was responding to the news that he will join Sangh Parivar immediately. “CPM has stamped K Sudhakaran, Shashi Tharoor and V D Satheesan as ‘sanghis’. I do not care about such allegations. CPM is making such attempts targeting minority votes. I had given a speech for 23 minutes against triple talaq and received wide appreciation. CPM is agitated with this”, said N K Premachandran.
“This is part of an agenda to strengthen BJP and weaken UDF by communally dividing people. CPM wants BJP to be the main opposition in the state. They just want power even if communalism gets spread in the state. The allegations regarding Kollam bypass are also not true. They are calling me ‘sanghi’ because the prime minister attended the function. Don’t forget that CPM postponed the inauguration of Kochi metro so that PM can attend the function. CPM in Kerala and BJP central leadership have an unholy relationship. CPM’s strategy in 2016 assembly election and Chengannur by election will not become a success again. We are trying to win as many seats as possible so that Rahul Gandhi can be the next PM. UDF and RSP will jointly work for it”, he added.
