SABARIMALA: Mandala Makaravilakku season registered massive decline of Rs 99.02 crores in income compared to last time- Rs 62.32 crores less in Mandala season and Rs 36.70 crores deficit during Makaravilakku.

Conflicts surrounding women entry and prohibitory orders impacted Devaswom Board’s income. TDB’s total income stood at Rs 173.38 crores last season while total income of this season stand at Rs 111.06 crores. This is a deficit of 36.27 percent.

However Sannidanam witnessed heavy footfalls towards the closing days of the season. Saturday will be the last day for darshan this season.
