THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Transport Minister A K Saseendran termed as unfortunate the statement of PSC in the affidavit that temporary employees of the KSRTC attained job through backdoor appointment. Such a statement shouldn’t have happened from the side of PSC, he added.
The empanelled employees terminated from KSRTC obtained job via employment exchange. Employment Exchange is a genuine government institution. Those recruited from there should not be criticised as backdoor appointees, he said.
The government will try to convince the Kerala High Court that they attained the job sincerely. He requested PSC to exempt the statement of PSC from the affidavit. The court will consider today the plea against the strike staged by KSRTC. Meantime, the employees who have lost their jobs are on an indefinite strike in front of the secretariat.
