THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Angered by the absence of more than half the leaders who should have been present for the meeting, Mukul Wasnik, prominent leader of Congress and Kerala state in-charge for Lok Sabha election, directed for strict actions. Out of the 180 leaders who should have took part in the meet, only 62 turned up.
“It is the time to strengthen the party. This cannot happen. The nation is calling for the comeback of Congress. Leaders shouldn’t take their position for granted, they should work towards the betterment of party,” Wasnik said.
“Dry trees should be cut down,” KPCC President Mullappally Ramachandran said, a statement aimed at the absentees.
“Even some eligible activists are not given proper consideration. A mob cannot help any party. Attendance will be checked. Stringent actions will be taken against the absentees,” Mullappally warned.
Mukul Wasnik directed for a functional organization system. “Leaders should interfere and solve disputes,” he said.
