THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 14th session of Kerala Assembly began with the policy address of Governor P Sathasivam on Friday. The governor was presented a guard of honour. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Speaker P Ramakrishnan, Parliamentary Affairs Minister A K Balan and Chief Secretary Tom Jose jointly received the governor. His policy address is progressing.

The budget will be presented on January 31. The 14th session of 14th Legislative Assembly will end on February 7. About 2000 students will attend National Youth Parliament to be held on February 23, 24 and 25 as part of the celebration of Festival of Democracy.
