THRISSUR: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condemned the attack on director Priyanandan. He said the attack towards the director by Sangh Parivar is evidence of intolerance in the society.

However, these kind of Sangh Parivar agenda will not be permitted in Kerala and should face it unitedly. Strict action will be taken against the miscreants, he said.

The allegation that extravaganza is behind World Kerala Sabha is totally baseless. The Kerala Sabha gives a great place for future development. Calling it extravaganza is because it was held under government’s expenses last time. However, this time it is being held under the leadership of organisations. The government has to meet only the travel expenses and there won’t be any other expenses. So, one should respond only after understanding facts, he said.

The director had courted controversy few days ago when he had posted some objectionable comments on Lord Ayyappa when the Sabarimala issue had rocked the state.
