OTTAPPALAM: A couple committed suicide by jumping before a train in Palakkad. They have been identified as Somashekaran (51) of Nellikkurissi and his wife Minitha (44).

They set out from their house for Minitha’s treatment at Jubilee Mission Hospital in Thrissur. The bodies were found lying on the railway track at Athirkat in Palakkad.
