KANNUR: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan came down heavily on IPS Officer Chaithra Theresa John in connection with the raid at the CPM office. No officer is entitled to fly above law and she conducted the raid for fame, he said in Kannur. It is clear that the raid was for fame. She was not able to nab even one accused from the office. The intention behind it is not clear, he said.

An officer should act according to law. The government is not supporting her as she failed to obey laws. This is not the policy of the government. If the raid was legal, then a raid should have conducted at the BJP office when the accused were hiding there. That did not happen and not only that this official is not in charge of the investigation. She had only a temporary charge.

It is heard that the government is planning to take disciplinary action against the DCP.
